My paintings are of the British Rail and arriva trains at the port, The ships that arrive and depart in the irish sea have influenced me visually. I find the design and colour of these objects interesting in the urban landscape of North Wales.
I mainly paint in acrylic either on canvases or paper. I work regularly in my sketchbook drawing visually of the landscape and other motifs, it is then through the drawing I work on my paintings in the studio.
The process of Draughtmanship drawing is fundamentally important to me, It helps me understand and work things out in the industrail landscape
